OUR STORY
God put missions on my heart shortly after I became a Christian in college. When I felt God leading me to consider Japan, I thought I must have misunderstood. “Japan doesn’t need missionaries,” I assumed. Then I Googled it. The Japanese are the second largest unreached people group in the world. Fewer than 0.5% are Christian. As a consequence, many Japanese will live their entire lives never having met a Christian or having heard the Gospel. My wife has been a believer most of her life and knew she was called to missions by the age of 15. She was just waiting on the Lord to direct her to a location. Our very first conversation on our first date was about the need for missionaries in Japan. God brought us together and we are equally excited and burdened to reach the Japanesefor Christ.
This is so true for the Japanese. How are they to believe? Someone has to take the Gospel to them. We want to bring the Good News of Christ to life, to make it real for the Japanese people. God loves Japan and we’re honored to take part in His plan to reach them. We want to see a Christian movement take root. We want to make disciples who make disciples, and we want to live out the Gospel among the Japanese people as Christ’s representatives.
